Acclaimedly is where businesses and professionals are recommended by named people who have worked with them, and where those recommendations add up to something you can look into rather than take on trust.
Why it exists
Choosing who to work with is one of the more consequential decisions anyone makes, and the places people go to make it have been overrun. Reviews are bought, gamed and filtered; ratings average away everything that was worth knowing; and the people with the best reputations are often the ones with the least to show online, because their work travels by word of mouth.
Word of mouth already works. Acclaimedly writes it down and keeps the author attached to it.

A recommendation is written by a named person or business with a profile of their own. Open it, see who they are and who recommends them, and judge it accordingly. There are no anonymous reviews, because an anonymous review cannot be weighed.

Acclaimedly is open to businesses and professionals worldwide. Some professions are regulated in ways that limit what may be published about them; where that applies, the profile shows less and says why rather than quietly making an exception.
The score and the rankings are worked out rather than awarded, and nothing about either is for sale. How that is done is written out in full.
